Elected as chairman was Joseph H. Ray, vise chairman; Judy Earl, secretary ;Matties Ray, treasurer; Lola Brake, and committeemen; Evan Stark, David Bauchard and Alford Peek. Joe Ray and Judy Earl are the delegates for the county convention to be held April 4. A trip to San Jebriel, California to surprise their folks was enjoyed by Kent, Kelly, Rodger, Morgan, Cherly, Kevins and Stevens While there they went to Disney Land San Anita to the horse races and spent one day in Tijuana, Mexico. All the kids going to Davis High all hoped up this week on account of Davis going lo the State Basketball tournament. They went last year and took 3rd place but havent placed first since 1949. We wish the team lots of luck and hope they come out winners. A swimming party at Rainbow Gardens last Tuesday was enjoyed by everyone in the following mutual classes, Jr. Gleaners, Jr. Explorers and scouts. Mrs. Thelma Bisel got the thrill of a life time last week when her neice, Mrs. Wayne Leautte visited her and informed her that she had been able to locate Thelmas and her mothers father J'ames Peachcr whom they hadnt heard of for 45 years. Her folks had been divorced when she was two years old and they kept in touch with each other until he's served in World War I and then they hadnt heard of him since. Mrs. Leauittee located a sister of James Peacher in Twin Falls by going through the telephone book and telephoning her found out that he was still alive and living in Medford, Ore. He is 73 years old and had remarried and had a family of only 1 daughter is living. Mrs. Bisel and her sister Slyvia Marx of Los Angeles are planning a trip to Oregon later this month to visit their father and their old sister. Ray Peck did real good with his wrestling in school. He placed 1st in the region and then to state but he just got started wrestling when his shoulder went out again and he had to quit. He received his letter in wrestling. Mrs. Jaliette McEachem has been visiting at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Jady Earl this past week. Next week she is going to begin taking care of Mr. Charles Birt at his home. suc-cesf- ul s. Investigation of a week end theft of $345 of tools was being conduct- ed last Monday by Davis County sheriffs office. The theft was reported by Lee Moulding who said the tools were stolen from an unlocked storage shed in Sunset.
