So, for that reason, he was among the very first to start talking about fire protection for Roy. Mr, Horspool had had no previous experience in fire fighting, but the fact that a man has so much to lose should a fire sweep his home and endanger the lives of his loved ones, was sufficient reason to want to do something about it. In recognition of his efforts in this behalf, he was elected to serve as a lieutenant for the Roy Volunteer Fire Dept when it was finally organized. The Horspool are native of We- - LT. KENNETH J.
