Show The WEST POINT HEWS By it; V Virginia Oleson Phone 5 1140 Those who are celebrating their birthdays this week are Ralph King, Wilford Flint, Keith Wayne Broad-head- , Arnold Bingham, Blanche gham, Emerald Loveland, Edith Vfmt, Evelyn Singleton, Noal Cook, and Timmy Fisher w.e wishVach of them a very happy birthday. Mr. ana Mrs. Orson Davis and Mrs. Jack Putnam are celebrating their wedding anniversaries this week and wd" wish them happiness on their special day and many more happy anniversaries together in the future. The Relief Society had a very nice summer party. It was held on the school grounds and the lovely things that the ladies had made so far for the bazaar to be held in the fall were displayed, after the program. Two musical numbers were played on their guitars by Sharon and Marsha Paice and Donna Johnson. Florence Youngberg read to us some passages from a mast delightful book. An accordion duet and two solo were played by Glenn and Doris Oleson. Games were directed by iN'aomi Thurgood The ladies were served delicious watermellon and little nut cups with cashew nuts and candy Clos ing prayer by Velma Fisher There was a nice crowd out at the MIA summer party. I'm sure everyone there enjoyed it. After the ball game a abort program waa held. A song was tung by Kaylin Dalton, accordion n u m bers by Glenn and Doria Oleson, Current Events (witty jokes) by Blain Fisher. Pantomine (very good too) Cloyd by Linda Hilton, quartette Darrell Twede, Wendell Oleson, Page and Lynn Blake. Musical number (one man band) Jan Montgomery. The lunch was nice too, hot dogs, potato chips, salad, punch and cookies and ice cream, ( losing prayer was given by Bishop Oleson. The MIA worked very hard to raske the affair a success. It was. scouts. They left at 8 a m. having breakfast at 7. The committee from West Point Ward who cooked breakfast for the group were Shirley Kirkman first year beehive teacher, Barbara Montgomery, second year beehive teacher, Milton Fisher and Norman Evanson scout leader. They had as their guests. Sheila Kirkman and Janet Flint and also Pansy Dalton, Wayne Dalton, and Kathryn Patterson of the MIA presidency. Nephi Rosa the stake scout leader was also present.
