Mrs. Parlser is also an active civic and church leader. She is president of the Aprendcr Guild, an outstanding local civic club. At present she is the literary teacher for the Roy 4th Ward Relief Society. The Parkers love to dance and ar members' of the Debonaires Dancing Club of Ogden. For sports Mr. Parker enjoys fishing, but he is essentially a family man, and enjoys most of all demonstrating his ability as a chef, turning out sizzling and delicious steak for his family and friends at their outside barbecue and patio. The Parkers are indeed some of Roys most stalwart citizens. Parker of the ber of drama served in that v n Schofields Celebrate 45 Years Of Marriage Dr. Stuart Wins Award Mr. and Mrs L Amos Schofield spent their 45th wedding anniver sary at their home working in their beautiful vegetable and Rower gar dens. They were married June 22, 1910 in the Salt Lake Temple. They are the parents of six children, Alvin L., Salt Lake, Leah SanterrilU of Ogden; Don W., who passed away 10 years ago, Dott Adams of Jack sonville. Fla., Rosemary Spencer of Clearfield.EUe n Howtx of Provo. They also have 12 grandchildren One and one great grandchild grandson. Dennis Phipps, is serving in the Marine Corp in Pendleton, Calif. Dee Adams, is In the Navy All four of their son In lawi were in the service of their country Their grandson Alvin attended the University of Utah, also is a stake missionary Daughter Ellen served on a mission to the Central States, and her husband Blaine also, a granddaughter, Donna, is now working in Washington D.C. She will return soon on i vi call oil Mr. Schofield was born in Cen tervUle, Utah, he came to ROy in 1906 to work for the Davis County Nursery for 13 years, two years for the California Packing Corp , and 34 years for the Denver and Rio Grinde Railroad from which he is retired. He now spends most of his time working in his vegetable gar den. About 10 yesrs ago, 280 people esme in a group to see his garden, not because it was beautiful, but to see what could be raised on a gar den lot. It was a tour of the garden club. Mrs. Schofield is a daughter of Mrs. Mary E Dalton, was born in Ogden, but has lived all of her life in Roy. She worked at the Ogden Arsenal for, 64 years. They are still LvfrYg tn the house which was almost completed when they were married. Many of their friends called, among them were Alvin Schofield Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Hadly and sons, Mr and Mrs. N.
