Show The Page Six Jolly Cooks Comer Dr. George C. Reim.schussel love salads. Here are two favorites his attractive wife makes for him. Cut off the top of a cantaloupe Remove the seeds and peel. Fill with cherry, strawberry or raspberry jello which has been made according to direction on the package. Add a can of fruit cock tail which has been well drained (The juice maybe used as part of liquid.) Freeze until jello is solid then cover with Philadelphia Cream cheese which has been mixed with milk or cream to an easy spreading consistency. Roll in shredded coconut. Return to refrigerator to keep cool before serving. When served, slice the cantaloupe to desired thickness and serve on lettuce leaf. This is a delicious and attractive salad as an accompaniment to a heavy meal but would be equally as satisfying served with nut bread, stuffed celery etc., for that light luncheon for the special groups you may be entertaining in your home. The other recipe is very simple and easy to make but very appetizing. Cream a package of Philadelphia cream cheese with milk or cream, add as many green seedless grapes as the cheese will hold Serve on lettuce leaf. YOUR WISH Can come true. PHONIC Dreams Do Come True As the 121 boarded the threa chartered buses that beautiful morn-ninof Aug 8th in Ogden and started for Palmyra,' 'N.Y',. on a trip that was sponsored by the 5th LI)S Ward Genealogical Society First night was spent in Cheyenne, W'yo then on to Omaha, Neb. We visited the historic Kirtland Temple in Ohio then on to Rochest er, NY, where we were informed that the hurricane "Connie" had ruined the pageants lighting installations at Hill Cummorah. This caused much disappointment to all For the first time in 14 years the pageant had to be postponed. The next morning we journeyed to the farm of Martin Harris which was once mortgaged to finance the printing of the Book of Mormon. Then we visited the home of the Prophet Joseph Smith where he received the visitation fronythe Angel Moroni As we walked up the lane where the boy Joseph had walked on his way to the Sacred Grove our thoughts were filled with mixed emotions. As we entered the grove and heard the beautiful singing of 'Joseph Smiths first prayer," our hearts were filled to overflowing. The spirit hears testimony to ones soul that heavenly beings had appeared there All rejoiced as testimonies were given. We were honored there by the presence of Apostle Adam S Reunion. We next visited the Hill Cummorah which held the sacred records of the Book of Mormon. We toured New York City one day and saw many outstanding points of interest with a trip by boat to the Statue of Liberty The N building, the Empire State building and the Rockefeller Center are really masterpieces of engineering We left New Yoik for Philadelphia. Penn, where we visited Hall and the Betsy Ross Home. A day was spent in Washington I) C. visiting the White House, Lincoln Memorial National Archives and other points of interest. Then on to beautiful Mt. Vernon. home of George Washington We returned to Washington by boating up the Potomac River Next day we left for Columbus. , Sun-Chrenic- Roy, Utah, le, where we visited the Carthage jail Uie place of the Prophet Joseph and his brothers martyrdom. The blood stains of Hyrum still remain visible despite efforts to destroy them Then we crossed the Mississippi River to Nauvoo. We were greeted by the missionaries who showed us the landmarks also the graves of the phropet his wife Emma, and Hyrum Smith. Then to where we attended Sunday School. On to Topeka, Kan., for sacrament meeting. We spent the night at Manhatten, Kan. Westward bound we arrived at Denser Aug. 22nd where the towering Rockies greeted us. Left Denver Via.Berthoid Pass (12,000 ft. elev.) arrived at Vernal where we visited the Dinosaur Museum. Then back to our homes a very tired but thankful group for the friendships we had made with more appreciation for our pioneers and our church and a greater love for the Prophet Joseph Smith. May each of you who so desire, have this privilege of making this dream come true.
