Childrens summer program offered summer program for educational handicapped children will be held from June 19 through August 2 at the Wasatch School, 30 R Street, in Salt Lake A City. Sponsored and conducted by the University of Utah of Special Department Education, the program is designed to determine what teaching methods and techniques work best for each child. We hope to help parents isolate effective teaching strategies so they can play role in an informed developing individual plans for their childs regular educational program, explains Dr. Carol Weller, an assistant professor of special education who has developed and will direct the summer program. Activities will be directed towards maintaining and improving basic academic and motor skills.
