Mr. East was born Jan. 4, 1922, in W'est Warren, a son of Charles Curtis and Mae Rose Wavment East. On June 12, 1952, he was married to Barbara Jean Wessman in Ogden The marriage was later solemnized in the Ogden LDS Temple. He started working for the American Can Co in 1951 and retired as supervisor in the shipping department in 1974. He was educated in Weber County schools. He was a member of the S. 2000 W., is being conducted nationwide by some 50 state and local affiliates of the National Easter Seal Society for Crippled Children and Adults. Ninety percent of the funds raised during the Campaign remain in the state where they are collected to finance rehabilitation services. The remainder supports a national program of services, education and research. Mr. Mike Hannah Tau Kappa Epsilon is Lily Day Chairman for the Ogden area.
