Show TIIE MARCH NEWS R1VERDALE Something different in the way of stake conference meeting time has been announced by Riverdale Stake for March 13. Inasmuch as they are to share the new tabernacle with another stake on that day, River-dalstake meetings will begin at 12 noon and at 6 p m. On Saturday evening all parents of the stake are invited to a special meeting beginning at 8 p.m. in the new tabernacle. Joan Hosier, daughier-in-laof Virgil and Burnett Hosier, arrived by plane Monday morning after spending 18 months in Germany with her husband. Bob has completed his term in the service and expects to land in New York this Saturday. Along about the 10th he is due to arrive here. Chosen recently as Mother of the Year for Weber County was Mrs. Sarah Ann Tracy Slater of Marriott, mother of 14. One of her daughters who is popular in the Riverdale-Roarea is Mrs. Blanche Gibby, wife of Bishop Grant Gibby. Elwyn Walker ROY NEWS Eyes Lion Elwyn Walker, assistant ager of the mortgage loan dept, of the First Security Bank, has tossed his hat into the ring for the nomination of district governor, 28 U of the Lions Club. The unit includes the area from Bountiful to the entire northern part of the state. He presently Is serving as deputy district governor over the Weber and Box Elder counties. MR. WALKER is a charter member of the Riverdale-RoLions and the Roy Lions Club and has a seven year perfect attendance record. He has servon the board ed as of directors, as first vice president, president and z ne chair, man of the organizatitm. The nominee was formerly the branch manager of the bank at Utah General Depot, then manager of the branch in South Ogden until his recent promotion. He is an active member of the Roy Sixth LDS Ward and has served as ward clerk for the Lake View and the Sixth Wards. He was recently released as of the ward superintendent YMMIA to accept the position of Stake Senior Aaronic Mr. and Mrs. Reed Cheney have a new daughter, she was born Feb. 20 at the Dee hospital.
