Show VP Phyllis Austin was born In Provo the next to the youngest in the family of four children of I. H. and Chloe Murdock Jacob. She is also a graduate of the Henager Business College in Salt Lake City. A woman who believes in ljeep-busy with a wide range of terests- and activities is Mrs. Roy ig - (Phyllis) Austin. At the present time she is president of the Aprender Guild, secretary and treasurer of the Roy Junior High Dec. 24, 1941 she married Roy Austin and followed him to the Luke Army Airfield and worked as a public stenographer for the Phoenix Title and Trust Bldg, during the time her husband was stationed there. When he was later transferred to Yuma Army Air Field she was employed by Civil Service and worked at the field. School and age group counselor in the Roy First Ward MIA. She has worked in the Primary Assn., as teacher, counselor and president and has served as president of the Alpha Chi Omega Alumnae group in Ogden. Last year she was vice president of the Aprender Guild. AS BUSY as she is in civic and church affairs, Phyllis still finds time to do most of her own sewing, raising roses and indulge in her favorite hobby of making home movies. She also loves to cook.
