The first and second year Bee- hive girls are having a picnic lunch at the school house grounds at 11 a.m. Thursday morning. Junior and Irma Bybee have also been working on their new house. Jack and Ivy Keyes went to Tulsa, Anz., to act as chaperones for the Indian children. Annette Jackson, who was staying with the Keyes last year will be unable to return because she is needed at home to help care for her younger sisters and brothers, but the Keyes are very happy to have a little 8 year old boy coming this year. Mr. and Mrs. Loren Kay held a family reunion at Roy Park on Aug. 15, A delicious dinner was enjoyed by all and all of their 15 children were present except one, Lulu. Mrs. Kays three sisters and brother from Idaho and her mother were there making it a most wonderful event. Mr. and Mrs. Robert C. McQuar-rimotored to Salt Lake on business last week and stopped off at Bountiful and spent an evening at Wallace McQuarries home. Mrs. Wallace McQuarrie has been in the hospital for an operation and is now at home and getting along nicely. Kent Draper, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dcrral C. Draper, has received a call for a two year mission to Australia for the LDS Church. He will leave sometime in September. His farewell will be announced a little later. Lorena Dalton, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jerrol Dalton, has returned home from several weeks vacation and visiting with her grandmother in Vernal. The Mutual girls of the Sunset Third Ward spent four days camping at the Stake Camp last week. Mrs. Norma Dalton was one of the Mutual officers who accompanied the girls. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Hunsaker and family, a brother, Neal and Irene McQuarrie attended a family patio dinner at Brigham at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Dale Hunsaker one night last week. Miss Frances Frost, Kaysville, who dances like an Indian princess, Hindu type, was crowned Miss Davis County Thursday night to represent Davis County in the Miss Utah State Fair contest in September. Johnny Swallow was sustained as first assistant in the Sunday School to replace Allen Lovell who has moved out of the ward. Mrs. June Gibby Hill and her two sons, Danny and Douglas, are here for a visit with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lionel Gibgy, for two weeks while her husband, Ronald, is attending Army reserve camp near San Francisco. The Hills now live in Los Angeles. When the recent crisis occurred in Lebanon, Arthur Gibby was quickly transferred from South Carolina to an air base ill Egypt. His job is to help keep in repair the planes carrying oil to Lebanon. Mrs. Pearl Jenseh of Vallejo, Calif., is spending a few weeks here and daughter, with her Leroy and Margie Raleigh. Recently, a cousin Marie Jensen, from Los Angeles spent a few days with the Raleighs. All of them went on an outing up Logan Canyon while she was here. in the Sunday School.
