Show Utah Given New Modern j Fast Mail System ROY The Gty with a Future Roy, Utah, Thursday, July '16, 1959 Vol. 0 No. 8 Treasure Chest A major reorganization of the mail transportation and delivery service in Utah is expected to provide one-dafirst class delivery in 99 per cent of the state as was announced by Postmaster General Arthur E. Cost is 50c for bus lare and the first 75 to register will go. The new mail program, in test operation since June 8, affects 240 Utah post offices handling more than a million pieces of mail a day. THE UTAH mail improvement project was described as the largest area yet to be included in a single e plan under a nation-wide- , service improvement schedule. long-rang- Mr. Summerfield said the area affected covers 75,000 square miles. All or part of Utahs 29 counties were affected except sparsley populated Daggett and Rich counties. THE UTAH mail improvement area reaches from the Arizona border to the Idaho state line and much of the area from the Colorado line to the Nevada line.
