Each fall 3 year old boys play football against each other in the Southeastern Utah Youth Football League- - This year the league is made up of five teams; the Steelen, the 49ers, the Broncos, the VQdngs and the Raiders. On almost every Saturday in die fall, and a couple of week nights during that season as well, the teams are playing their games, this year at the Helper Junior High field. The games are a lot of fun to watch, and they do attract considerable attention from the community and of course jthe parents of the players. All the teams are made up of boys from the Carbon County area, but periodically the teams play teams outside their league: from places like the Uintah Basin, although these are not regularly scheduled games. Some- times the teams that play in these situations end up playing teams of Older boys who are much bigger, but they often bold their own . : around.
