Officer Mike Milburn closed the investigation late Monday and arrested Tony Pantelakis for burglary and felony theft. Ann Kari Radakovich Denise Slavensky Bonnie Higgs Imbertson, 352 East 200 South, reported her television and VCR tape machine missing from her apartment on April 3, according to Lt. Aleck Shilaos. Walnuts 6 f Lisa Saccomanno Lisa Cave Machele Erramouspe Jane Fercik Eight to attend Girls State Eight Carbon High girls have been selected to attend the American Legion Auxiliarys 38th session of Girls State at Southern Utah State College in Cedar City June 3 through 9. The Price American Legion of Delores 16, daughter Slavensky, Helper; and Jane Fercik, 17, daughter of John and Beverly Fercik, Spring Glen. The 1984 Girls State is expecting at least 380 girls from around the state. The entire assemblage will become the mythical 51st state and will function according to the laws of procedure of the state of Utah, taking the basic laws of Utah as their guide. In substance, the program is designed to teach the girls that our American form of government demands an intelligent citizenry and clean, honest, impartial administrations from all public officials, according to the American Legion Auxiliary release. In Girls State the girls observe at first hand the problems of government. They elect their own officials, from the governor on down. They have their own Auxiliary is sponsoring five of the eight girls. Those attending will be Wendy Mathie, 17, daughter of Gordon and Jeanine Kari Price; Mathie, daughter of Radakovich, 16, Robert and Ellen Price; Bonnie daughter of Ron Radakovich, Higgs, Machele Price; Higgs, 17, and Shareon daughter of Erramouspe, John and Vera Erramouspe, Price; and Lisa Cave, 16, daughter of David and Mildred Cave, Price. Helper American Legion is sponsoring three girls for Girls State. Those attending will be Lisa Saccomanno, 17, daughter of Frank and Lee Saccomanno, Spring Glen; Denise Slavensky, 17, legislature where they present and argue their own bills. They also have their own laws, enforced by themselves and in other ways live as self-governi- citizens during the full period of Girls State. The girls apply for and are appointed to the various elective and appointive offices. They hold courts with girls serving as judges, lawyers, jury and trying actual cases. They set up their city and county government and pass and enforce ordinances. Contributors for the Price American Legion sponsored girls include Cyfers Cable Repair, Mens Moose, I,ove Floral, Tolmans, Boyacks, New Century, Tram Electric and the Price Rotary Club.
