Show -- V Huntington student to vie for teen crown Brenda Bogdin, Mr. and of 14, daughter in scholarships. The winner will receive a $1,000 cash $30,000 Mrs. DeLoy G. Bogdin of scholarship and has been named as a finalist in A Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Fla., will award two $4,000 scholarships to the Citizenship Award' winners. Milliken University of Decatur, the -, National Teen-Ag- er 111., Brenda Bogdin Pageant to be held June 9 at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. The Miss Utah National Teen-Agwill be fully sponsored to the Miss National Teen-AgPageant to be held in August. LaDetra McGaha of Salt Lake City, the 1982 state winner, will crown the new Miss Utah r. National The reigning Miss National Teen-Agis Stephanie Hix of Montgomery, Ala. Contestants will be judged on Johnson Wales College of Providence, R.I., will award a full tuition scholarship for two years of study to receiye an associate of science degree to the girl with the most potential in business administration. Each contestant is expected to participate in a community er er & services the National Teen-AgPageant. This program teaches teenagers to join and participate in school and civic affairs. Miss Bogdin is being sponsored by Emery Mining Corp., Celoris Floral, Wards 4x4, Fun Fabrics and Mark Justice Service Insurance, all of Teen-Age- program of er er achievement, leadership, poise, personality and appearance. Thayn, Carbon County Fair Board chairman and Carbon County road supervisor, has been instrumental in the construction of the Carbon County Fairgrounds in Price. An avid horseman, Thayn has raised quarter horses for D.A.D. Quarter Horses with his two Abe Davis and David Cloward. The annual March of Dimes n will get under way 9 at a.m. at Price City Park. Chairmen Gale and Maureen Westover said participants are collecting pledges for every kilometer they walk. The Walk-a-Tho- Walk-a-Th- route spans on 30 kilometers. Last year we raised about $5,000, Westover Mrs. said. This year we hope to beat it. She said lunch will be served to all participants and prizes will be awarded to those who collect the most money. The participant who raises the most money will receive a bicycle donated by Sunset Sports. Mrs. Westover said adults are encouraged to participate in the Pledge sheets are available at area schools.
