Cam- paign continues through January. News Highlights Concerning Castle Gate Residents Noted les Mills She returned to her home in Spring Glen Monday evening. Nick James and wife Ginger arrived last Tuesday from Paris, Idaho, to visit with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Sye James They left Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Hilton left the Thursday before Christmas in the company of Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Allred of Sunnyside for Vista, California, where they enjoyed the Christmas holidays as guests at the home of Tommy and Marilyn Hilton. Also welcoming both sets of grandparents were the Tommy, and Hilton children twins Steven and Stacy. The travelers arrived back home Tuesday evening Mrs. Lynn Morgan and young son Bret are here staying at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dodd Wistead, Lynn is working in Colorado TTie New Years Eve dance held at the amusement hall was a success The hall hugh, was decorated to a "Winter Wonderland" theme of white streamers and blue lights. A three piece orchestra consisting of Vonal d All-re- d, Cleveland; Russell Erickson, Sunnyside, and Ted Miller, Helper, furnished some very excellent dance music. The music makers were accompanied by their wives and were made especially welcome here because they are former residents and friends. When midnight arrived noise makers, hats, and confetti along wlth the shouts of "Happy New Year ushered in friends 1961. Many accepted a public invitation and joined young and old for a most festive evening of celebrating. Saturday saw the closing and final day of the company operated out-of-to- store. Shirl Barney, Clearfield, and fi- ancee Miss Bonnie Wellman, Provo, were weekend visitors at the Walt Barney home. Hie Ervin Jacobsen family welcomed a young Irish lass, Miss Joan Davidson, into their home over the holiday weekend. Miss Davidson is presently staying in Salt Lake City. Sarah Richards left last Monday to spend part of her Christmas vacation visiting In Salt Lake City with her sister, Mrs. Juanita Oliver. Friday night she returned home bringing her young niece Kelly with her. Kelly visited with grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Richards until Tuesday when she returned to her home with uncle Bud Richards who spent the holidays at home with his parents. Bill of McKnight spent several days as a guest at the Richards home. Both young men are students at the University of Utah Callie Ann Mills spent the latter part of the week visiting grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Char Vernal, here Arriving Thursday SIMCA Salt Lake City also spent the holiday weekend at home. Visitors for New Years at the Welber Hardee home were Dorothy and Mike Vlamakis, Kathy and Michael of Salt Lake City. Visiting in the area over the New Year weekend were Mr. and Mrs. Frank Babcock and children Kathy and Gary of Dugway. Along w'lth Mrs. Mary Babcock of Helper they attended church services here Sunday. Jim Bowtis was home for the holidays with his parents Mr. and Mrs James Bowns He returned to liis studies at USU Tuesday. Their mother, Mrs. Veloy Piccioni, stayed overnight at the Johnson home Thursday. Friday morning Mr. Johnson accompanied the travelers on their moving trip as far as Grand Junction. He returned home by train. Mr. and Mrs. Scott Johnson and three sons of Salt Lake City spent the weekend visiting the Edgar Johnsons, his parents. Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Taylor and Mrs. Armeline Taj lor motored to Castle Dale and Orangeville Monday where they visited with relatives. Ann Miller spent the holiday weekend visiting at home with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. LaVell Miller. She returned to her at Ogden. Jenna Lee Tabone, who visited at home until Wednesday, was accompanied by her mother, Mrs. Bulah Tabone, and other children on her return to work and school at the St. Marks HospitaL Mr. and Mrs. Stan Anderson and family and Mr. and Mrs. Sammy Marrelli of Salt Lake City spent the weekend here at the Thomas Bendall home. Gordan Magann of Salt Lake City visited with relatives here over the weekend. Lorraine Olson spent the weekend at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leland Olson. Another guest at the Olson home was Curtis Johnson, Hiawatha. Dick Snow was here for the holidays from Salt Lake City. He was a guest at the Clint Snow The genealogy organization held its Sunday evening service program with Florence Seely, Edgar Johnson, and Jack Hremson as featured speakers A special musical number was given by a ladies Ruby Taylor, Mary quartette Wilstead, Rhea Parry and Tressa Johnson. Mr and Mrs. Dee Reese and daughter of Kearns visited with his mother, Mrs. Dinah Reese, over the weekend. Mr. and Mrs Wallace Trowbridge, Peggy and Jim spent the holiday vacation at Lava Hot Springs, Idaho, with her sister, Mrs. Eva Hogan They also spent some time in Salt Lake CRy. Gwen and Hank Coleman of Salt Lake City spent Christmas at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Welber Hardee. Dr. and Mrs Mark Jensen and children visited Monday at the Remo Etzel residence.
