Show Page Six THE SUN-ADVOCA- Thursday, July 30, 1959 Price City Ordinance No. 1 1 78-5- 9 WHEREAS Price City desires to improve and extend its waterworks plant and system; and WHEREAS said city does not have on hand money to pay for such improvements and extensions, but the revenues to be derived by the city from the operation of its waterworks plant and system will not be pledged or hypothecated in any manner or for any purpose, at the time of the issuance of the bonds herein proposed to be authorized except for the pledge of said revenues to the payment of certain Waterworks Improvement Revenue Bonds of said city dated February 1, 1935, originally issued in the amount of $120,000 and now outstanding in the amount of $28,000, and the city desires to issue its Water Revenue Bonds in the amount of $500,000, payable from such revenues in the manner for which provisions is hereinafter made under the provisions of Chapter 3 of Title 55 of the Utah Code, 1953, as amended; and WHEREAS it is desired to submit the question of the issuance of such bonds to the vote of the qualified taxpaying electors of the city; NOW, THEREFORE, Be It and It Is Hereby Ordained by the City Council of Price City, Carbon County, Utah, as follows : Section I. That on the 1st day of September 1959, there shall be held a special election between the hours of 7 :00 oclock A.M. and 8:00 o'clock P.M., at which there shall be submitted to such qualified electors of said city as shall have paid a property tax in the year preceding such election the proposition set forth in the form of ballot set out in Section 5 hereof. Section 2. That the voting places for said election and the officials to serve at such voting places shall be those specified in the form of notice of election set out in Section 4 hereof. Section 3. That notice of said election shall be given by publishing the following notice of election once a week for not less than four consecutive weeks (by five insertions at weekly intervals) in The SUN ADVOCATE a newspaper of general circulation published in Price, with the first publication to be not less than twenty-eigfull days prior to said election and the final publication to be in the issue of said newspaper published immediately preceding said election, and such notice shall be further given by the posting by 'the registration agent of the regularly established election district containing said city in at least five conspicuous places within his district and within the city at least five days prior to the date fixed for said election, that is, on or before August 27, 1959: ht ELECTION NOTICE TO ALL QUALIFIED ELECTORS OF PRICE CITY, UTAH Take notice that on the 1st day of September, 1959, an election will be held in Price City, Utah, at the places set out below for the purpose of submitting to such qualified electors of said Price City as shall have paid a property tax therein during the year preceding said election the following proposition: PROPOSITION Shall the City Council of Price City, Utah, be authorized to issue the bonds of said city in the amount of $500,000 for the purpose of defraying the cost of improving and extending its waterworks plant and system for said city, said bonds to per bear interest at a rate not to exceed six per cent annum, and said bonds' to mature serially in not'more than forty (40) years from their date and to be paid solely as to both principal and interest from the revenues to be derived from the operation of the waterworks plant and system of said city and under no circumstances to be a general obligation of the city or payable from ad valorem taxes?
