The finals this year will be held in Salt Lake City and all games played at Rose Park. Lets pull for the boys to go all the way. Table tennis is now under way at the Reeves school and the National Guard armory. There is still time to sign up and try to be the table tennis champion. Badminton will get underway August 12 at the National Guard armory only. Everyone will be classified according to his or her age group. ) August 21, 22, and 23 will be the days for the swimming meet. The events will include diving, side stroke, breast stroke and free style. Boys will compete against boys, and girls against girls. The water carnival will be held the last day. There will be clown acts, water ballet and finals of the swimming meet. Archery will be conducted from August 19 to 21. There will be instructions on safety, care of the bow and arrows, and shooting. There will be medals for boys and mens divisions plus a trophy for the winner in the mens division. The horseshoe tournament will start August 12th and will be held in the mornings from 10 to 12 noon. There will be swimtning instructions for children under five starting August 12th to August 16th from 9 to 9:45 A.M. The adult swimming class offered by Carbon College is proving very popular, according to Elmo Geary, director of adult education at the college. Enrollment for the course exceeded expectations, and the cjass has been divided into two groups so that the instructors may give more individual training to the class members. Jack Kobe and Diane Broad-benwho are employed by Carbon College to teach the swimmers, report that 23 people are attending the class each Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings. Both beginning and an advanced swimmers are receiving instruction. Adults from Price, Huntington, Cleveland, Wellington and Spring Glen are enrolled. Those attending are : Floyd Alger, Marilyn B.
