Utahns Invest More Whats wrong about integration? Its the way I operate, too!" Than $1 Million In US Defense Bonds For the second consecutive month Utah buyers of U. S. Defense Bonds have invested more than a million dollars in the nations most popular security. This was the fifth consecutive month that Utah has exceeded sales of a year ago. Charles L. Smith, state defense bond chairman, said a report this week from the federal reserve bank gave a total of $1,172,959 for Utah 'bond purchases during February. Series E defense bonds show greatest gains with an increase of 47 per cent over the amount purchased the same month last year. The February 1952 Series E sale was $1,046,771. George W. Leatham, defense bond chairman for Carbon county said Series E purchases here were "$25,106 in February compared to $32,775 a year Many businessmen have made comments like this: "The way I figure it out, this integration' you big companies are attacked for is just a matter of doing more than one part of a job. So whate Its the way I operate, too I" In answering this question lets consider wrong about that f first what the word means. "Integration means simply carrying a job through several steps. Twenty counties in Utah were credited with E bond sales above the totals of last year. These counties are Beaver, Box Elder, Davis, Duchesne, Emery, Garfield, Grand, Iron, Kane, Millard, Morgan, Salt Lake, Sanpete, Sevier, Summit, Tooele, Unitah, Utah, Washington and Weber. Another bright picture of public support of defense bonds in Utah is seen in the more than 30 per cent drop in redemptions com pared with one year ago. Utah people, besides buying bonds, are taking advantage of the automatic extension provisions that allow their Series E holdings to continue to gain value beyond the original maturity date, said Mr. Smith. With Series E 'bonds the owner has only to keep them to enjoy this new privilege. The interest-paying extension is automatic. - C ...1 a" A woodcutter goes into a forest and fells trees.
