Mr. Grange reported that there are still several cases of communicable diseases under quarantine but that the diseases seem to be dying out. The majority of the cases left under quarantine are measles, with some whooping cough and chicken pox. At the present time, only a few new cases are being reported, he stated, When asked why he thought the diseases were subsiding, Mr. Grange stated that he thought it was because the public awoke to the seriousness of the situation and began to observe the quarantine laws. He also commented upon the publicity that was given the matter warning the public against the dangers of letting infected children play in the streets with other children not having the diseases. city watermaster, today announced that all Price canal water users should not use the water beyond the length of their turns. Each water user is allotted so much time during which to use water for irrigation purposes and it is the users responsibility to turn the water back into the main ditch when his turn is completed so that his neighbor further down the stream may have his turn using the water. Mr. Grange stated that it is a violation of state law to use water beyond the limit of time allotted each person. Approximately 500 persons within the city have turns on use of the water and Mr. Grange stated that already there has been trouble among several of the users. In past years when water was plentiful length of time of turns was not to strictly observed but inasmuch as a water shortage is anticipated this year these turns will be enforced.
