That the local C.C.C. Camp and W. P. A. be immediately placed at work commencing the reconstruction of this dam so that no further delay will be permitted to continue to endanger our National Defense. II That the Federal Bureau of Reclamation together with the Federal Government be hereby advised by the undersigned committee who have authority to act. That the people of Carbon County will proceed to form a Water Conservancy District according to law with the full intention of setting up a legal organization that can and will participate in the paying back to the Federal Government their proportion of funds which the Federal Government might advance at this time for immediate construction of this Dam. III That we, the undersigned, agree to act in good faith in the setting up of said District and repaying our share of the cost. That this resolution carry with it a special request of the Federal Government that they immediately commence the reconstruction of this dam and that it not be longer delayed due to the inability of this county to participate immediately. ' IV That a copy of this resolution be mailed to the Federal Bureau of Reclamation, United States Senators Elbert D. Thomas and Abe Murdock and Representative Walter K. Granger with a special request to each of them that they do everything within their power to influence the Federal Government to take immediate action for the reconstruction of this dam to the end that it may be completed during the summer of 1942.
