Uintah high of Vernal was successful in the drawing conducted after Saturdays play to determine which team should be recognized as the regional champion. This automatically gave the Vernalites a place in the state joust. Grand high of Moab and Roosevelt played at Vernal Monday night for the rigftt to enter as the second team from this district in the Utah tournament, as well as for recognition as regional runnerup. The game was won by Roosevelt. After Roosevelts surprise victory over Uintah Friday night, the outlook was exceedingly bright for the Moab team, previously undefeated this season, to gain undisputed possession of the title.
