Cook, state fish and game commissioner, and Wrilliam Whitney, superintendent of the state fish hatchery at Springville, relative to the fish planting program in Carbon and Emery counties for 1935. The local committee which consisted of Elmie Betnardi, Arthur S. Horsley, Dr. H B Goctzman and Tony O'Berto also discussed with the state officials the possibilities of securing a state hatchery to serve Carbon and Emery counties. Mr. Cook informed them that a hatchery might possibly be established in this district if the legislature increased the fee charged for fishing licenses. Membeis of the committee visited the federal hatchery at Spnngville and announced on their return that the government had promised to supply the association with fish for planting in local waters. An application for an allotment of trout will be sent to the bureau of fisheries Mr. Whitney is expected to visit Caibon and Emery counties in the near future to inspect the streams and lakes. -Emery it 6! !
