Show TIIE YACE EIGHT ITTT PENNEY DEFEATS HELPER LEADING Helper staged an upset Sunday when it took both ends of a double-headfrom the Holsum Bakers, 6 to 5 and 8 to 3, and took undisputed possession of first place in the Utah State league. Manager Jacobshagens sluggers collected 14 hits off Bill McDuffie, llolsums ace hurler, in the first contest. Joe Dudler went the full ruote for the victors in the first game, although he was touched for 13 safeties, and Tom Jackson did the same thing in the second game, yielding ten hits. Vecchio, Johnny Allison, Myers, Carmonl and Reed all hit the ball hard for Helper in the first contest. Wilbur made three out of four for Holsum. Vecchio, Maulsby, Myers, Krisman and Jackson all collected two safeties for the victors in the second game. Chatwin and Big Bob Howard, with three out of four and three for three, respectively, were outstanding at bat for Holsum. Holsum started out Strong in the first game, scoring three runs in he first frame and two in the third. But after Helper had made one counter in Its half of the third, Joe settled down and hurled airtight and scoreless ball for the remainder of the contest.
