Kiwanis Kids Day. Ed Howa was chairman of the annual event and an estimated kids participated. There were more smiles than I have ever seen and kids of ever size and shape romped and threw, ate and played throughout the day at Wuhington Parkin Price. Its an annual event as the Price Kiwanis club joins hundreds of Kiwanis dubs around the nation to salute the children of their communities. How many can you attend where your children can play all day, eat as V'. r .v.-.J- .... V'h .::4t . t. - r r SmiDe much as they want, win quarters every time they throw a dart or toss a bean bag and not spend a dime. It only happens once a year and it is always a big hit ' Besides the basketball and bean bag toss, kids competed in a variety of races, hundreds tried their skills at the climbuig wall and kids took turns jumping in the jungle. The climbing wall was staffed by the recreation depart-60-0 ment. A dozen kids also were lucky to win new bikes and scooters. The event is completely free to the children and is made possible through several fund rais- era throughout the year such as the ducky race in Scofield dur-oth-er jng ML Pleasant Days and the radio auction in February. Kids also compete in races and games. Over $600 in quarters were given away to the youngsters.
