The reason the road trip is happening is that they want communities to get to knew them and to be aware of the PTAs mission. They will be visiting two Carbon County schools today (Sept. 0 a.m. they 24). At will be at Creekview Elementary with local dignitaries and state 4it y 0 . v vv - Vi U -- Z iP 10:15-11:3- PTA representatives. Then from noon to 1p.m. they will be at Petersen Elementary, !Nfcp-r Mark General Attorney Shurtkfit The plan the PTA has in doing this "road trip includes three simple ideas. First they want to celebrate local units and provide awareness to the public of the PTAs mission. Secondly they want to provide an event for local units to strengthen involvement opportunities within their own communities. Finally they want to promote the arts. The organizations believes in the arts because of all the ways it aids childrens intellect and their critical thinking skills. The disciplines taught by the arts are used in many other facets of learning and education.
