Dr. E. F. Gianotti ended the long reign of Frank Porter, Progressive nominee, as chief executive of the railroad town by polling 481 votes as compared to 451 for his opponent. The Independent Democratic ticket did not have a mayoralty candidate. M. O. Porter, incumbent candidate for four-yecouncilman, was the only member of the Progressive slate to be elected. He received 430 votes as compared to 395 for Byron Carter, Fusion, and 90 for J. T. Charlesworth, Independent Democrat.
