Gravel surfacing of the Pikes Peak Ocean to Ocean highway, between Huntington and the Carbon county line, a distance of eleven miles, will start within a few days, according to information recently given out by D. H. Leonard, local road supervisor for Emery county. This road is one of the connecting links in Utahs arterial system, linking Price and Eastern Utah with the 8anpete and Sevdier Valleys and points to the south, and is the main trunk line into Southern Emery county. Heretofore the road' has been unsurfaced, and dangerously slippery in wet weather. The project has been scheduled since spring. The project is a state and county proposition, with the crusher being erected now, about five mile north of Huntington, in the midpoint of the work. Following the completion of this strip the ten miles from the Emery eonnty line to Priee,.onee surfaced, but now roughened considerably, due to heavy travel, will be. resurfaced, this piece of work alo being a joint state and eonnty project.
