' I dob, SO :2b. Twenty Years Ago This Present Week By Publicity Director. Under the direction of K. M. Williams tho Carbon county high school band has been organized for the present school yeear. The proapeeta for a championship hand are very good owing to the fact that a number of excellent musicians are enrolled from juniors high schools of the county. The band is made up of 01 memliers which is an increase of 20 over last year. Tho system of organization has been changed this year and ia expected to bring better molts. Officers for the band are aa follows: President, Norman Hamilton; manager, Victor Bonacci; advertising manager, Jaek Owen; secretary and treasurer, Mounty Whitmore; quartermaster, Cecil Christensen; assistant quartermaster, Dominie Bonac-e- i; band room, Leslie Mathis; music, Phyllis Williams; suits, Lillian Dart. The band is confronted this year with the problem of securing enough uniforms for all the members. Uniforms for the band have always been a serious drawback and one of the aims this year is to provide new outfits. In order to inerease the efficiency of the band, Mr. Williams will present a aeries of concerts commercing' next Tuesday at 12:10 p, m. on the high school lawn.
