Prescott, 57, passed away on Aug. 26, 2010, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on May 3, 1953, in Coalville, to William Levi and Barbara Aleen (Nielsen) Prescott. He served his country in the Marine Corp during Viet Nam. He married KarriLyne Woodard on June 6, 1975, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Lorin served as a faithful member of The Church of PAGE B3 Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as a ordinance worker in the Salt Lake Temple, High Priest Group Leader, a counselor in the bishopric, a scout master and home teacher. He was a member of the Francis Town Council. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching movies, listening to music, riding horses, being outdoors, learning to play piano and reading and learning, most of all playing with grandkids. He is survived by his wife, KarriLyne, Francis; Sons: Matthew (Jennifer) Prescott, Clearfield; Nathan (Cassie Jo) Prescott, Holladay; daughters, Shelby (Chad) Probasco, Roy and Cicily (Scott) Bardin, Ogden. His mother, Barbara, Layton, and eight grandchildren: Emily, Corbin, Levi, Abbie, Emma, Logan, Kyle, and Tyler. Brothers, Lynn Prescott, Kamas and Allen (Francie) Prescott, Cedar City; Sisters: Connie Lewis, and Bonnie Prescott, both of Layton. He is preceded in death by his father Bill. Funeral services were Monday in the Francis LDS Ward Chapel. Interment was in the Francis Cemetery. Go Classifieds! 336-5501 Lynn E. Richins Lynn Edward Richins passed away on Aug. 25, 2010, at the age of 94. Lynn was born in Coalville on Nov. 22, 1915, to Jared Richins and Ethel Camilla Ralph. Lynn's youth was highlighted by his service to his family on the farm. During that time, he gained a love for the outdoors. He was as comfortable on a horse, tending the cattle as he was on a tractor cultivating the farm. A decorated Veteran of World War II, Lynn was awarded two Bronze Campaign Stars, the Combat Infantry Badge, and a Purple Heart with Oak Leaf Cluster. Upon returning from the war, Lynn married his sweetheart, Alpha Moon on May 22, 1946, in the Salt Lake Temple. He loved to hunt, fish, and go camping with his family. He also enjoyed working on the farm. He worked for the Union Pacific Railroad and Hill Field. He faithfully served in many positions in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, including an ordinance worker at the Ogden Temple. He was known for his willingness to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He spent his later years enjoying the company of his wife, family, and friends. He is reunited with his mother, father, brothers; Ralph and Ellis, and sisters; May, Norene, Leone, Norma, and Dorothy. He will be sorely missed by his wife, sons Mike (Nellie) and Kevin (Pamela), 10 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, his brother Marvin, and sisters; Jeraldean and Ilene. Funeral Services were held on Tuesday, Aug. 31, in the Hoytsville 1st Ward Chapel. Lynn will be laid to rest in the Coalville Cemetery with full military honors.
