By Student Writer: Mardee Goodwin An estimated $90,000 could be granted to South Summit School District for the program, from funding for occupational education and selection of district schools. This new take in career education, beginning with elementary school age through high school seniors, is designed to incorporate new con- -, cepts into the occupational courses at hand. Elementary students will be taught awareness more thoroughly on job availability and variation. . The middle school age pupils will have more experience in integration of a widely varied (election of skills necessary for success in the modem growing businesses and professional industry. High schools in Summit County will receive hands-o-n experience on the many possibilities obtainable by research, experimentation, elimination, and . selection Schod-To-Care- er thereafter. South Summit is currently involved in a program called TWe- -. t, Learning, also known as where the high school students have the opportunity of participating in actual college classes. The classes at various colleges and universities are broadcast live over a satellite to the high school sites whert fhe students can participate by using microphones. The professors can see the students on a screen and the students have the same advantage with the professors. The only expense for the students is that of the books, which are usually used and at reasonable cost.
