They moved here from the Salt Lake area and built a log home. We introduce you to Dave and Connie Ou. Dave was raised in Salt Lake, and went to Skyline High School. He held the state record for the javelin in high school. He played professional baseball for the Kansas City Royals for four years until a skiing injury ended his career. Presently, Dave is working for Mountain Fuel in Salt Lake. Mr. Ott has a collection of old farm equipment. He likes to spend time with his kids, and enjoys all kinds of out-of-do- or things. Connie was also raised in Salt by Margaret Hennek Lake. She attended Olympus High School. She has received training in art school, and also at beauty college. Right now, she enjoys being a housewife and working part-tim- e at the Chicken Inn. The Ott's have two young children. Dusty, a son, is four years old. His mother describes him as being thoughtful and has a strong will. He has had to overcome some hardships already in his young life. The second chid is Summer, a 2-- y car-o-ld daughter. Her mother secs her as a teal goer and quite spunky. The family really enjoys the together. They like to backpack, ski, snowmobile and other recreational fun. We know it is hard to face the cold, but it's always warm and cheery at the Club house, so we hope more of our members will be with us at next week's meetings. There arc several members in the hospital this week. We miss all of them, and wish everyone a speedy recovery. Get well cards were signed and mailed to these members. President Ball and Vice President Morby were in charge of the activities with President Ball conducting the short business meetings each day. Secretary Ncilson presented minutes of the past meetings, which were accepted by a vote of the members. Lonnie Jacobson and Woodrow Ncilson were selected to offer the prayers this week prior to our meals being served. Eleanor and Leah Morby, Lonnie and Mary Jacobson and Margaret Bush have furnished candy treats for the group that past two weeks, for which die President thanked them on behalf of the members. Wc all enjoyed these treats, so much. Thanks again. We were reminded of the dales The three principals at Summit School District invited to the Board Meeting to report on the four-da- y North were Dec. 7 week, which started with the 1988 school year. As would be expected, the principals reported the teachers and students like the four-da- y week, as all their remarks were favorable. Also, most of the parents at the Teacher and Parent Conference expressed their opinion that the four-da- y week was a positive step for the school and students. Principal Richins said the students seemed more rested on Mondays, and eager to be back in school. The students were so excited when they were awarded a citizenship card, they were placed in a box and drawn out during the assembly. This is still continuing for later awards. We have a busy calendar for next year.
