The' Council suggests the following: Allow plenty of following distance, and drive at reduced speed if the road and weather conditions are poor. Its better to be a few minutes late than to risk the lives of you and your loved ones. Gear the windows of ice, snow and steam before you start your trip. You need to see clearly where you are driving clearing just a peep hole is not good enough. Fasten your safety belts, and make sure your passengers are buckled up. Young ones should be secured in child safety seats. Remember, seat belts are the best protection against drunk drivers. Be alert for drivers who have Notice had too much to drink.
