The auditoriums fill with proud parents and grandparents and graduates anxious to leave high school and get on with their lives and careers. If only the students could be instilled with the wisdom that the parents and grandparents have garnered, they would have a big jump on decision making and problems that they have yet to face. But this may not be an ideal situation. If young people just starting out already knew what challenges they were about to face, would it take away their enthusiasm, excitement and willingness they must have to accomplish the great things that are in store for them? Perhaps learning fresh' and new is the ' best way. I wish to give to each one about to enter the adult world and ways, advice that I have received, not upon graduation, but during my life time. Be willing to see and consider all sides before making decisions. Seldom is there only one right way or wrong way. Accept the possibility that your way may be second best. Try to accept lifes challenges just as they are, a challenge. Put problems in perspective. This years theme Lets Make the World A Happy Place was very appropriate. The yearly endeavor is eagerly awaited by the entire community as evidenced by the standing room only crowd. Its a real joy to see the happy expression of all It the young people involved. speaks well for the teachers who give so much of their time to make all this possible. The music was especially good this year and a big thank you is expressed to the two excellent pianists who accompanied all the musical numbers. Mr. Rulon Judd started the assembly by awarding the best report cards to the 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th grade. They were Wendy Woolstenhulme,- Kristine Dearden, from the 9th and 10th grade and Rachelle Jenkins, Todd Olsen and Cory McQueen from the 11th grade and Deanna Dearden and Kris Dearden, the Valedictorian and Salutatorian from the 12th grade. He then continued on with the Sterling Scholars. ,, General,; Deanna Dearden; Business, Judy ' Sargent, Shannon Openshaw, Staci Jenkins, Jill Olsen, Wendy .
