Mr. and Mrs. Jack Smith and Charlie Smith were dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Try on in Salt Lake Monday. North Summit's athlete of the week is Michael Crittenden, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Crittenden of Hoytsville. The junior placed second last week in the state wrestling competition. Wrestling at ISS pounds, he has had 24 wins and 4 losses during the year. "He has improved constantly throughout the season," said Coach Sam Blonquist. This is his third year in wrestling. He is also active in football, playing left tackle, and in track, being a sprinter and long jumper. Lynda Van Katwirk and new little son were Fri. visitors of mother Mary Marchant. We want to congratulate Rene Potter who took Second and Todd Jones, who took third at the State Wrestling meet Friday and Saturday. We are proud of these boys and also proud of Kevin Orgill and the way they represented North Summit at the Wrestles. The parents of all these boys were all on hand to cheer for their boys as well as the other boys from North Summit. Ken and Beth Jacobson attended the wrestles in Provo Friday and then between seasons they went and visit with Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Row berry. Shaw Named Manager Of Memorial Building Sam Shaw is the new Summit County Wu of the manager Veteran's Memorial Building. He faces the challenge to "tty to get the recreational building to pay its own way, so the taxpayers won't have to subsidize it," said County Commissioner Dale Leavitt Monof day. Shaw began work for the county the first of the year. PARK CITY u "The people that use the building will have to pay for its operation," said the commissioner. Fees will be estsblished which will be charged to use the gymnasium, pool tables, rifle room, conference room and other of Its facilities, he uid. The county is fixing up the building. It is adding automatic pin setters in the bowling alley and also remodeling the conference room. With a nicer building, it should be worth a fee, Commissioner Leavitt explained. "We're not interested in making any the commissioner said, but we money, are interested in having it pay its own way. Leavitt is in charge of the operation of the Memorial Building. Controversy arose last fall when the county called a public meeting to discuss the fate of the building. The majority of Park Gty did not want to see the building razed, yet theycity and county could not agree on terms of sale or rent. Miss Hymas is also the daughter of the late Bishop Bruce R. Hymas. The couple plan to be wed April 1 in the Odgen LDS Temple. Mark is a graduate of North Summit High School, Coalville. They were married 61 years. He wu an active member of the LD.S. Church and was a High Priest. He had served in the Stake High Priest Presidency. He wu the first Scout Muter in the Oakley Ward. He fulfilled an LD.S. mission in Tezss. He attended the L.D.S. University. He wu . President of Y.M.M.I.A., and Sunday School teacher and a ward teacher. He retired from the U.S. Forest Service after working over 20 years. He was Deputy Water Commissioner for the Weber River Water Association.
