' Slow Learners Ricks Rexburg-Thirte- en College students are assisting three school districts in the education of slow learners. Brent Price, social worker and 'director of a special project of the Fremont, Teton and Sugar City school district, said the students assist in the areas of speech, psychology and sociology. The Ricks students work with the students twice a week as part of their regular classwork at the college. Included is Miss Patricia Cossey of Kamas. "These Ricks students and the school districts are working hand in hand to help slow learn- ers and we can see good results from this cooperative project," said Price. The college students work directly with the elementary school children, giving indiv- idual attention on a one to one basis, he added. There are boys and girls with speech problems and others need help in adapting to the learning environment. "This is a real opportunity for Ricks students to get involved in actual situations in the areas of their study majors," said Richard J. Hooton of the Ricks sociology department. for a Card of Thanks is 15? a line. Re45-tmember 15? a line.
