Show News Notes from Kamas Valley LaReta Van TasseQa 4-- K dub, the T.W.P.'s hare finished our practice articles, and are starting our second articles. We vent to camp and had a lot of fun. Paul and Irma O'Driscoll have enjoyed having their three grandsons, Rick, Clay and Brett staying with them for a few days. They are the sons of Earl and Arlene O' Driscoll of Evan- ston, Wyoming. Visiting at the home of Keith and Deane Bailey is his mother, Mrs. Alice Bailey of Nephl. She came to attend the wedding of Marilyn and Ron McNeil. Colleen Barzee of Sprlngville is visiting in Kamas with her mother, Mrs. Stan Best for ten days. Stan is MU1 in Provo teaching and will be through this weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Stan Best are very thrilled grandparents of a baby boy. He is the son of Charles W. and Mary Lee Richards of Roy. He was born on July 6 at the LDS Hospital, and weighed 7 lb. 14 oz. and will be named Adam Charles. Other grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. John C. Richards ofSandy. Sunday, Walter and Reva drove out to Strawberry and visited with their daughter and Jim and Maxine Long and children. Then they went on to Tabby and visited with Revas sister, Pete and Wanda I vie. They enjoyed a very lovely dinner and a day of visiting. Gary Lewis is in the LDS Hospital. He had knee surgery he gets along Saturday,-Hopidoy and able to come home soon. Bob and LeRee Walsh and family of Murray were visitors of her parents, Cleo and Algie Anderson Sunday. They all went up to the canyon for dinner. They also took W endall and Polly Mitchells two younger girls with them. Visiting at the home of Larry and Therma Turner three days were Judy Huddleston and two boys of Magna. On Friday afternoon Larry's daughter Shauna came up from Salt Lake to spend two weeks with them. w, very lovely Sacrament meeting was presented Sunday evening by Mr. and Mrs. Stan Best. They both gave talks and then they, and their daughter, Colleen Barzee sang a musical number, accompanied by Lola Lambert. Babies blessed last Sunday in church were Stephanie Ann Thacker, daughter of Don and Carolyn Thacker. She was blessed by her father. Hoyt of Kamas. Every minute of the three hour rodeo is crammed with action that has unexpected everyone cheering as if he had a personal stake in each performer. They have been staying with their Grandma Best while their mother was in the hospital. Walter and Reva Anderson have bought the Boyd Louder home, and are all moved in and really enjoying it. The Hoyts went on to Banff and toured the beautiful town that reminded them so much of Switzerland in its atmosphere of high mountain peaks and green sieves that seemeddotted with sld runs. From Banff they went on to tjVb Louise, a most beautiful breathtaking spot of high mountains covered with tall pines, of a clear blue lake that mirrored the shadows, and of a most majestic chateau that boasts of one thousand rooms designed in the most inviting decor. Flowers cover the hillsides and slopes that give contrast to the background of dark green. It is no wonder that tourists flock there for rest and relaxation. It is no wonder that the border between the United States and Canada is not crowded with guards for the people are so friendly and warm. Last Sunday, Orrice and Ora Lewis and family were hosts to a picnic dinner at their home. Jesse Atkinson and daughter Shelly Diane were guests of honor, to celebrate his birthday and the blessing of Jesse and Diane's baby. Other guests were Ira and Thelda Page, Warren and Rose Mary Atkinson and Grandma Kate, Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Page and family. Dee and Donna Elder and family, Scott and Barbara Wilkinson and family, and four friends of Ira and Thelda s from West Virginia. Keith and Dean a Page and family came latex in the day. BID and Melba Thomas were very happy to have her brother, Virgil Atkinson of Yuba City, California visit with them for a week. Weekend visitors at the home Mr. and Mrs. Claude Don and Carolyn Thacker were Dallas and Janet Thacker, Carl and Myrle Jenson and family of Morgan; Brent and Mary Lou Spaulding and family of er and planning on staying until July 19. A canyon party was heldFri-da- y night at foe Kihlstrom cabin up Beaver Creek. Those enjoying' the evening were Myrtle Pitt, Mandy Welsh, Rhea Davis, Ivy Padfleld, Lavena Frazier, Zettie Smithies, Beryl Cave, Melba Carpenter, lone Larsen, Ethyl Gibbons and May Glnes. Overnight guests of DeVon and Louise Wilde Saturday were her sister and brother-in-la- Sheila Lewis and family left Friday evening for a weekend at Lava Hot Springs, Idaho. They took mineral baths and, went swimming and had a very good time. Richard Prescott is enjoying a two week leave from the Navy. Sunday afternoon a family get together was held at Rock Port Reservoir and everyone went boating and water skiing. Then a delicious picnic was served to Dick, Maye, Weldon and Rick Prescott of Kamas; LaVerl, Barbara and Robert Simmons, PhD, Marlena, Bob, Brian, Phllena and Glorie McNeil all of Francis; Oren, Wanda and Steven Smith and Mary Ann Chaves of Kamas; Colleen, Jane, Nell and Jim Thacker of White-Roc- k, and Michael, Nelda, Karen, Linda and Mike McNeil of Heber City. Rick will leave on July 19 to return to San Diego for further service in the the Judds, as it was the first time they had all been together for three years. Shanna visited from Provo where she is work- Pauline Martin, the Judds Audit Manager U.DickNavy. and Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Judd of Hoytsville are happy to announce foe return of their son, Doyle, wife, Linda and baby daughter, Denalee from Tempe, Arizona. Maye Prescott were surprised and happy to have as visitors this past week, Ray and Joyce Hughes of Kearney, Arizona. The Hughes were reswhen the idents of Duchesne Tunnel was being constructed and this was their first time to be back since 1952. A family camping trip was really enjoyed over the weekend. Plans never matured and the company has not heard from for some time. Also, Doyle has been called to be assistant Stake Clerk in the BYU 2nd Stake. They plan on making their permanent home in Provo. They fished, ate and had a really good time. A family get together was held Sunday at the 'Manor Lands on the other side of Mirror Lake, at Joe and Bev Jenkins summer home. Those enjoying the day were Jimmy and Dome Jenkins, Steve and Roma Jenkins, and Denny Jenkins and his fiance Sherry Myers.
