Show J , Two Wildcats Gain Honors; South Summit Notes On November 17, Utah State University brought an assembly to South Summit. They featured the Village Voices. Some of the songs they sang mere: Son of a Preacher Man, 'Nobody Knows the Trouble Ive Seen, 'Sonny, 'Sum- 'Aquarius', mertime, 'Ive Cot Plenty of Nothin' , and 'Happiness Is the Look of Love. The Wright sisters sang three songs in German. -S- SHS-We would like to congratulate Rolf on being named to the second team and Kim for making the team. South Summit Student Body would like to extend best wishes to Mrs. Pam Warthen. all-sta- SSHS-- On Friday, November 21, Jack came and took group pictures . Classes were Interrupted all morning. In the afternoon the lights went out and school was dismissed because It was so dark you couldn't see. That is one advantage of a school without windows. Skogland SSHS-- A book fair was held at the South Summit High School Media Center Friday, November 21, sponsored by Mrs. Lake. Stu- dents were given the opportunity to visit the fair Friday afternoon. It was open to the public that evening. SSHS A meeting was held at South Summit High School lunch room on Nov. 24. There were superintendents from nine districts Hanning the meeting. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss some of the teaching methods available to the teachers. They had a fine lunch, and good entertainment. The Wandering Blues sang the following songs for the superintendents: All My Trials, Hangman, I've Played Around, and Hard Hand Hard Traveling. After lunch those at the meeting toured the building and really enjoyed their visit to South Summit. multi-distri- ct SSHS The French Class of South Summit had a party on Nov. 24. First they had class, then they made fondue, which is made of Swiss cheese, bread, and white wine. They said they all had fur. but the Fondue wasn't that good. Good luck next time! SSHS Job. On this assembly the FFA tried something different. They auctioned off the cakes that the girls had made. In prior years the cakes have been sold at the dance. The cakes were sold for the following prices: Julene, HO, second place; Lana, $15.25, Karen, $14.50, Grand champion; Nancy, $11; Melanie, $9.25; Mary $9.75. SSHS On Wednesday November 26 the Juniors and Seniors went to Wasatch for Career Day. It helped students decide what they want to do after they graduate from high school. The student body saw the film 'Two Rode Together. SSHS HONOR ROLL Seniors: Ruth Andersen; Larry Holt, Nancy Jorgenson.
