Weekend visitors at the home of Rachel and Os Wright were Vern and Marsha Wright and Troy, Verl Wright. Fern Wright and Mrs. Osra OBrien all of Salt Lake. Osra also visited with another sister, Mrs. Thelma Nichols. They were all happily surprised to receive a phone call from Vera Pemberton who lives in Oak Ridge, Tenn. and were able to talk with her while they were all together. Mrs. Gladys Dearden left Tuesday morning for Las Vegas, Nevada to attend a School Lunch convention. She also hopes to be able to visit with her brother, George, who lives in Las Vegas. Mrs. Ethel Larsen of Tucson, Arizona is visiting in Hene-f- or this week at the home of her sister, Mrs. Ruth Ball. Ethel accompanied her daughter and Lissay and Bernard Law and their son to Utah and upon her arrival they enjoyed an evening of visiting and supper prepared by Ruth with Gladys and LaVern Dearden and Alvin present along with Joseph and Edna Beard of Salt Lake and Phyllis and David Passey and family of Henefer. Blaine and Lupe Dearden also visited with them later in the evening. Ethel visited with Ruth for a few days and then went to Salt Lake and visited at the home of her brother, Joseph. She will visit with Ruth the remainder of this week, spend next week with Gladys and then goto Idaho where she will visit before returning to Arizona. Ethel would like to visit with all her friends in Henefer but since it is impossible for her to do much walking around she hopes they will call on her while she is visiting with her sisson-in-l- aw ters. Jess Brooks of Mona, Utah is visiting in Henefer at the home of his son, Jimmy and Veda Brooks. The Flapjack Flippers H cooking club under the direction of Mary Baker exhibited 4-- their projects in the fair last week. Terri Baker received a blue ribbon on her muffins and was also picked to exhibit them in the State Fair. Sheryl Dawson received a red ribbon on her muffins. As their Community Service project the two girls spent most of the morning Thursday baking Chocolate Chip Cookies for the Henefer Beautification Committee to sell in their booth during the fair. Terri Lea Baker also exhibited a skirt which won a red ribbon and took part in the H Fashion Show Thursday after4-- noon. Oakley Girls Win First in Softball Durrant, Alton Brown, Vaughn Dearden. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Young and son, Bobby who are here visiting from California took Bills mother, Mrs. Agnes Youngwith them to Yellowstone Park. They visited Earthquake Park in Yellowstone Park and also spent some time at Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Last Sunday Mrs. Young's children honoredheronher89th birthday (tier birthday is August 8th). Former resident, Susan Brown of Salt Lake visited with Ann Smith Sunday. Mr. Gordon Bolinder of Grantsville visited with Belva and Malin Vernon and Florence and Jack Smith Sunday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Fay Bates were guests at a wedding breakfast at Logan Thursday morning in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Brent Clark. They also attended a reception that evening in honor of the couple. Friday morning they joined Mr. and Mrs. Weston Clark for a stay at Lava Hot Springs before motoring on to Twin Falls, Idaho for an Open House in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Kirk Clark, newlyweds. Brent and Kirk are sons of Fays sister, LaVon of Wash- ington, D.' C. Tubing down the river has become a new and exciting sport for some of our daring Wanship residents. Mrs. Irene Wilde and Mrs. Marvin Robinson took a group of kids on such an exciting ride last week and report tube riding on the river to be quite a sport. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Brady and family have returned to their home in Los Altos, Calif, after spending a wonderful week visiting Bonnies parents and sisters and their families, Mr. and Mrs. Mick Stevens, Barbara Prescott and Wanda Miles. The whole family enjoyed several luscious barbecues. A trip to Mirror Lake to admire the canyons natural beauty and the old reliable chicken dinner at the Chicken Inn. All in all it was a joyous reunion for the eighteen members of the family and they are lookingfor-war- d to another just like it. Mrs. Cheryl Hughett presented her husband Harvey with a brand new baby daughter at the Heber Hospital. The little darling weighed 6 lbs. 2 12 oz. and will answer to the name Hughett. Bert and Berniece Louder of Orem visited with Jim and Ruby Louder on their way to Jack-so- n Hole, where they plan to do some fishing and skiing. Sarah Joe Louder and three small children of Delta were overnight visitors in town Friday. They are here on business.
