Two Republican leaders, Commissioner Archie Pace and Assessor Allen Jones, were defeated. The winners, respectively, were Ken Woolstenhulme and Gail Siddoway. Arch Pace has been Mr. Republican and Mr. Summit County for many years. II is defeat came as a shock to his many friends in the county.. But Arch will be the first to say: "Well, I sure lost to a good man. Ken will do a grand job for Summit County."
