Randin Pentz from North Summit defeated David Kent from Delta for the 2A 170 lb. championship. All Photos by Todd Phillips Middle School winner of PTA Essay Contest announced On Friday, Feb. 6, The North Summit Elementary and Middle School PTA's welcomed 14 year old author Mckenzie Wagner. Mckenzie had lunch with the winners of the PTA's Essay Contest and then hosted an assembly for all elementary and middle school students. The theme of her assembly was, "It's Never Too Late or Too Early to Follow Your Dreams!" Mckenzie wrote her first book at the age of seven and her second book was published shortly thereafter. Her latest series is the "Benotripia" trilogy and is available at both school libraries, as well as at the Coalville Branch of the Summit County Library. The PTA would like to thank all students who submitted an entry to the contest and congratulates the winners: Kelby Diston, Cloey Rasmussen, Wyatt Morrill, Halee Jarrett, Camden DaMes, Alex Ritzman, Camden Greenwood (not pictured), Tessa Richins, Aidan Moyer, Haylee Anderson, Ellen Brown, and Kambreia Ingram. Self esteem ASHLIN BLONQUIST Self-esteem is defined as confidence in one's worth or abilities. Teens often struggle with their self esteem. Signs of low esteem are depression, not feeling like they belong, or starting to care what other people think about you. Most teens think that they need to look the best to be the best, but this is not true. All that is important or matters is Michael Yost from South Summit defeated Taylor Oldroyd that you are happy. When you from South Sevier for the 2A 2201b. state championship start to care what others think of you is when your self esteem begins to drop.
