Per new official information, those facts have been corrected. A routine stop initially stopped for two traffic violations on Feb. 20, led to K9 Gorka being deployed, only to discover and alert officers to the trunk area. A search of the trunk revealed 31 pounds of methamphetamine in the spare tire area, worth more than $1 million. The suspect, Marilyn Torres, of Long Beach, California, was arrested and then transported to the US Marshall's Office to be referred for Federal investigation with the DEA Metro Narcotics Task Force and Federal Prosecution. The vehicle was travel- STRAWBERRY VALLEY, Wasatch County — Two snowmobilers who were reported missing Saturday evening after failing to reach their destination as expected were found Sunday morning, the Wasatch County Sheriff's Office reported. Tron Black, 47, and Cory Hahan, 52, both from Sandy, were in the Timberlakes and Strawberry Valley area when their absence was reported at roughly 8:40 p.m. Saturday to the Wasatch County Dispatch Center. At this point, Wasatch County Search and Rescue began to search trails in the area until 3 a.m., but were forced to ing eastbound on 180 and stopped at mile marker 168. After K9 Gorka found the scent, the spare tire was removed and searched. Ron Bridge, Detective Sergeant, stated that this was the largest methamphetamine bust in Summit County's history in one stop. Among the hopeful contenders were 20 South Summit wrestlers. After taking 2nd place in their division the previous week, the Wildcats were hop- ing to be in the top three at state. After two days of battling against 2A's best, South Summit was able to place 11 wrestlers on the podium, place 3rd as a team, crown one outstanding wrestler of the tournament, and one Coach of the Year. The South Summit wresters who placed were: Jayden Williams at 106 lbs., 6th place; Paden Woolstenhulme at 120 lbs., 4th place; Logan Crandall at 132 lbs., 5th place; Ty Thornton at 138 lbs., 4th place; Alex Johnson at 160 lbs., 4th place; Christian Newenswander at 160 lbs., 5th place; Broughton Flygare at 170 lbs., 5th place; James Scow at 182 lbs., 5th place, and Jared Blazzard at 195 lbs., 5th place. Matt Lee captured his third state title at 126 lbs., and Michael Yost finished of his senior year with a championship at 220 lbs. The coaches at the tournament also vote on outstanding wrestler and coach awards. Matt Lee took was voted Outstanding Wrestler in the lower weights, and Coach Jake Woolstenhulme was awarded the Coach of the Year. Congratulations to the Wildcat wrestling team. Jaycee won this prize money from the Lion's Club after entering her depiction of this "Peace Poster" in a contest for the youth to participate in. She took 2nd place out of 400 who entered in the District. The District will be awarding her $75.00 in addition this $50 she was presented today. She heard about the contest at school, and Jaycee thought about "just doing it!" She stated that she "...is almost 12 years old." She was the only one in the Coalville Lions area to participate here.
