Show SUMMIT COUNTY NEWS JUNE 24, 2011 PAGE B1 Ramar `Wasatch "Run Like Girls" One team of runners for the Ragnar this year used the mantra Run Like Girls as they ran with a purpose from Logan to the finish line at PCHS. This group of twelve ladies named Training Broads ran for Amanda Daniels who is once again fighting Ovarian Cancer. The runners on this team are: Amy Rydalch, Kelli Woolstenhulme, Stephanie Woolstenhulme, Linda Hansen, Lindzi Bell, Sue Bishop, Kristy Peterson, Brittany Aste, Raychel Leavitt, Cyndi Leavitt, Sara Nagel and Katie Rakisits. "It's not just about the running but about the experience." Team #53 Half Fast The Contenders Team #53 Half Fast is made up of runners from the Kamas Valley. The "Contenders completed their run and Gines, Steve and Brittani Mitchell and Maria Todd, Justin and Andrea Gordon, Joni and Rich Blackmore, had a good time doing it, Arlin Ovard of Henefer enjoyed having some of his family with him. Team Dave Cook and Brandi Honey. This is their 6th year to run as a team. Like many people the experience members include family and friends who gathered together to create the team, "The Contenders". Something great about this group of women is what brings them back to do this race each year. They love the "comradery and uninterrupted time with girlfriends" they get to have. "It's a girl's weekend and we are doing something good for ourselves", says Amy Rydalch of Oakley. When Team Mother Truckers Team Mother Truckers is made up of friends from Bountiful, UT and Las Vegas, NV. They are Rodney Tucker, Karen Bouchard, Danielle Phillips, Taylor Bouchard, Chloe Tucker, George Ralphs, Linda Phillips, Brittaney Herlean, Dave MacArthur, Brent Phillips, Nate Herlean and Nicole Phillips. They chose to use their money for volunteers to donate to the American Cancer Society. Karen trained for the race last year and to her dismay, three days before had an injury that kept her from being able to run. She supported her team and cheered them on from the van. This year she was able to train without any injuries and looks forward to increasing her pace and being able to run a harder leg next year. Says Bouchard, "It was great! The people were awesome!
