Show " SUMMIT SPOTLIGHT JUNE 17, 2011 PAGE B1 SUMMIT COUNTY NEWS Class of 20 I I ...Park City High School "...Living the Dream" CHERYL OVARD SCN Editor Park City High School Class of 2011 held their graduation services June 10th, on their football field — Dozier Park. More than 300 students received their diplomas, and as the program unfolded, memories were related by the Senior Class President, Sydney Smoot, Salutatorian, Grant Sanderson, and Valedictorian, Yoojung Kim. Grant Sanderson and Christine Baird rendered a beautiful musical selection of "Time to Say goodbye", followed by Devon Maddux, a student speaker. Principal Hilary Hayes gave an address commenting on the accomplishments of these students...and as Sanderson commented...they were "following their dreams. Many of the students received scholarships and as well as acceptance to schools all over the nation. There were four "merit" scholarship finalists — which is outstanding to come from one school alone! Many types of scholarships were awarded from their accomplishments in sports, leadership, scholarship and arts. There were totals of over $130 thousand in scholarships as well as institutional scholarships in the amount of over $2.4 million. "Students - seniors — keep living the dream!" ... and as Sanderson also said "... (just) have your own piece of pie!" Catalina Ritzinger Receives her diploma viewing from hospital bed via Skype!
