Mrs. Louise Willoughby welcomed the students and guests, including the younger students who were "quietly" sitting on the floor in front of parents and families. The skits and introductions to each of the projects completed during the school year helped to illustrate the time and effort teachers and students , faculty and staff, had put into the programs to help educate students from the South Summit 4th grade - 2010 - 2011. Mrs. Willoughby and Mr. Evans prepared to hand awards to students who had excelled in the fields of art, reading, spelling bee, and many others, including Presidential awards, Math, Music, and attendance. One of the highlights of the morning was the presentation to the Stanley family on behalf of their fellow classmate, Wyatt, by the 3rd grade class of a check for $1,000 to go towards expenses incurred when he had his heart transplant. Wyatt has had to take up to 72 pills per day to help him get better following his surgery. The students worked hard to first put together a Literary Magazine in which they themselves authored. This book was sold for donations towards the purchase of the Literary Magazine and to reach their goal to give to Wyatt's family. The entire program was well organized, as students had prepared skits to show the projects prior to handing out the awards. Numerous students in the 4th grade earned certificates and trophies. They sang songs prepared by the music people and performed by the 4th graders and were exceptionally well done. Parents, teachers and students' themselves were proud of the accomplishments of the students in each of the categories. As stated by one of the students in the skit at the end of the program, "...and we think that the staff, students and parents of South Summit Elementary make a very successful team." Certificates were presented to each student as they completed the program. It was an enjoyable morning, and the run under the green and white balloon arch completed their last year at South Summit Elementary when they exited through the front doors for the last time as a fourth grade student! 783-1471/336-5501 Ai Ot AIM% `Fall Classes starting in Clogging & 'ballroom • All Makes & Models • Certified Auto Body Techs • Guaranteed Repairs • Approved Insurance Provided • Free Estimates We do Full Auto Detailing & Window Tinting using 3M Scotchtint! in "Francis Ei ellenefer `beginning in September `15eginning-..-V VanCe COIllpetiti-011 AWW_ Alaw _ Levels 141East1200South.Fieber Ages 3 through Adults... 435-657-0100 `No partner nee for- ballroom, `orohp1ay LABRUM CHEVROLET • PONTIAC • BUICK www.labrumchevrolet.com AN AMERICAN REVOLUTION 901 S MAIN ST • HEBER CITY • 435-654-5120 SERVICE HOURS: MON THRU FRI 8-6 / SAT 9-3 We work on ALL makes and models! g 4:9, c `Routines Competition `Routines Teen b .Adult Classes fFamit3 rates 4 or more Call now' Pr rates b seheMe Repair PATiN DITAt &ReRpeapirair Trailer Welding • Tire Service 435-657-0715 1355 S 201 W #98 (201 W Hwy 189) Heber City, Utah 84032 2175 Rasmussen Road - Park City, Utah 84098 435-647-3673 www.crandaliford.com Service Hours: Mon-Fri 7:30 am-5:30 pm & Sat 8:00 am-3:00 pm Servicing most makes and models ti tht"IrO MMIlit 3/1 /09 8O1-693-0900 435.654.7099 FULL SERVICE The Summit County Council is seeking members to serve on the Peoa Recreation Special Service District.
