Arts Kids receives grant from Target Arts-Kids today announced a partnership with Target to support the nonprofit's after-school program in Summit County. With this grant of $2000 we have a sponsor for the program at Jeremy Ranch Elementary school so we can reach more children in Summit County this fall," said Pat Drewry Sanger, Executive Director of Arts-Kids. The after-school youth development program is based on the belief that all children will thrive if they have a safe place for self-expression, not always found at home, in school, or elsewhere in the community. During ArtsKids sessions, children with diverse backgrounds, special challenges, and unique abilities come together in an atmosphere of trust. Hand-crafted artwork was available for children to paint, and refreshments were also available. It was a fun, relaxing day to spend an hour or two and see the variety of art in a "variety of mediums" displayed.
