Show SUMMIT COUNTY NEWS PAGE B8 UHP and UDOT reminds public what to do when involved in a crash Recently the Utah Highway Patrol responded to 1-80 Westbound at 1600 West near Redwood Road to a fatal crash. The crash involved six vehicles all of which lost control due to poor road conditions. A 30-year-old female driving a Dodge Durango was also involved in the crash and got out of her vehicle to check on the occupants of another vehicle. Unfortunately, a red Toyota Tundra lost control and crashed into the Dodge Durango and pinned the 30-year-old female up against the center concrete barrier, killing her instantly. As tragic as this is, it serves as a good reminder of what to do if you are involved in a crash in these extremely dangerous conditions. This in no way singles out the fatal victim as doing something wrong, she was obviously concerned for the occupants of the other vehicles and acted courageously.
