Pursuant to Utah Code Ann. § 52-4-202 (3), (4), notice is hereby given to members of the North Summit School District Board of Education and to the general public that the North Summit School District Board of Education will hold a Budget Hearing in conjunction with the regularly scheduled Board Meeting Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at 6:30 P.M. in the North Summit School District Office, 65 S. Main, Coalville, Utah to approve the revised 2008-09 budget and approve the proposed 2009-2010 budget. The day began at 8:15 at Browns Dairy and Coalville City Sewer Plant, and the groups rotated to be able to see it all. Their six groups of fifth graders at North Summit Elementary also enjoyed a field day with the Summit Soil Conservation District and USU Extension Service. They made pudding - like an astronaut would fix and eat with Susan Haws (USU Extension Food Nutrition). Summit County Call to Artists The Summit County Public Art Advisory Board is issuing a call to all Summit County artists to submit designs for a mural celebrating the 100 year anniversary of the Summit County Fair. This mural on the facade of the grandstand at the entrance to the Summit County Fairgrounds should be a public expression of the vitality and history of the Summit County Fair. Budget: $18,000.00 is available for all related expenses of this Public Art commission including (but not limited to) artist fees, graphic design fees, press checks, materials, travel, installation, documentation, artists’ materials & removable mural surface. Eligibility: Open to emerging and established artists residing in Summit County, ages 21 & over. Notice is hereby given the SSFPD will hold a public hearing on June 23, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. at the Oakley Station located at 4987 North S.R. 32 in Oakley, Utah. The purpose of this public hearing is to receive input and discuss the adoption of the SSFPD Impact Fee Analysis Plan. All interested persons shall be given the opportunity to be heard. Written concerns are welcome. Copies of the Impact Fee Analysis will be available at the meeting. In accordance with Uah State Law, a copy of the Impact Fee Analysis will be located at the public library. In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, SSFPD will make reasonable accommodations that will allow participation in the hearing. Requests for assistance can be made by calling 435-640-4737 at least 48 hours in advance of the hearing to be attended. group were investigating the bees in the hives - they were brought at the Fairgrounds by the Utah Co. Bee Keepers Association - with the help of Neil Shelly taught the kids about how honey is made. Jack Marchant explained the weeds we have in Summit County, and Kent Pace sheered some large woolly sheep, letting the fifth graders feel the wool fresh off the backs of the sheep! Derrick Radke, with his watershed model of a small town, showed how water erodes and kids got wet - what fun! Finally, the Utah Cattle mens/Womens Association (Cattle Industry) let the kids do a hands-on experience with the cattle. It Pays! 336-5501 VACAN C I E S The Summit County Council is seeking individuals who reside within the North Summit School District to serve on the North Summit Recreation Administrative Control Board, created to oversee the newly formed North Summit Recreation Special Service District. The Administrative Control Board appointed by the Summit County Council will consist of five members, one from Coalville City, one from Henefer Town and three at large. Applicant must either be a registered voter of the district or an officer or employee of Summit County, Coalville City, or Henefer Town. Procedures for appointment: Notice posted in four public places and published in the local weekly paper one month prior to deadline. The Council may not select people to fill the positions sooner than two months after Council is notified of vacancy. Council must allow anyone interested to be heard.
