The Bear River rodeo is the longest running High School rodeo in the state. Although the weather was cold the team was red hot. Bridgerland saw a few members qualify for the first time. Riata Mitchell placed fourth in the Goat tying and Katelyn Leavitt placed eighth, McKenna Woolstenhulme placed fourth in the pole bending and Shaneal Fryer was 10th. Kylie Brown was awarded 2nd Attendant. In Team roping, Dillon Hoffman and Rhett Anderson won the rodeo, and Brady Nichols and Jordan Page placed sixth. At Bear River, Harley Atkinson had a great ride and scored 70 to win third. Dillon Hoffman and Rhett Anderson placed eighth in the Team Roping. Shaneal Fryer qualified in the Barrel Racing which was quiet an accomplishment on the slick ground, several horses fell so it took some true cowgirl spirit to trust your horse enough to let him go. McKenna Woolstenhulme was seventh in Pole Bending an Bailee Woostenhulme was seventh in Goat tying. In the Queen Contest, Lachelle Lewis and Bailee Sizemore represented our team well. Lachelle won the impromptu category, and the interview catergory and placed fourth overall. Bailee won the test, and Horsemanship catergories and tied for first in the modeling catergory, she won second Attendant. The team is off to Farmington for the Double D rodeo and to Herriman for the Lehi rodeo this weekend. All the members of the team would like to remind everyone to set aside the 24th of May for the South Summit Rodeo to be held at the Oakley arena.
