Her group from Skyline was sponsored by the Prudential Federal Savings and Loan Company and for their project they formed a company and learned some of how our free enterprise system works. The group decided on a name for their newly formed company, The Totem Company. They were completely organized with a president, vice president, secretary, etc. They had a Board of Directors who voted on the plans and policies of the company. There was evidently a faulty insulator on a pole near Walls-bur- g on the Olmsted line which flashed hot and burned the pole out. They then lost service from that entire line and, because there were repairs being made on the La Grande line, all the stress was put on the Devil's Slide line which does not have the capacity for such a load. Consequently parts of the entire area were without power for varying periods of time. It took us some time' to discover the location of the trouble and then we had to get a crew over there for repairs," Ron said. We certainly are sorry for the interruption in service and hope it won't happen again.
