This party was tor everyone seventy and over. The Park City Ward Relief Society prepared the dinner. Afton Merchant left Thursday to go by plane to Radford, Virginia to visit with her daughter Roger and Adele and Lambert and family. She will attend the high school graduation exercises of her granddaughter, Suzzane. From there she will go to Kensington, Maryland and visit another daughter and George and Jennie Hyde and family. Their son-in-l- son-in-la- w, daughter Cheryl is also graduating from high school, and the guest speaker will be Herbert Humphrey Afton will be gone until June 14. Ira and Let ha Miles attended the graduationexercisesFriday evening at Granite High School for their grandson, Steven Thompson, son of Merlin and Alene Thompson of Salt Lake. There were 640 students who received their diplomas. Jack and Bonnie Las sc he are happy to have his daughter Brenda staying with them for a week. The Elementary PTA held a dinner Thursday night tor the room mothers and representatives. A program was presented. Mr. and Mrs. Rex Walker were special guests. Buck Wilde has purchased a garage and service station in Wanship. We are happy to see lone Larsen and her mother, Mrs. Carpenter home from California. They arrived in Kamas Tuesday evening. Phil and Valerie 001180011 and baby are moving to Ogden where Phil will be employed. Hoyt and Janice Peterson and family of Salt Lake were in town Monday visiting with his mother, Maxine Peterson. Wid and Beta Milliner are home for the summer months. They have been in Wyoming all Winter with their son Ralph and his children. Ralph and children are here staying with them untilhlsdaughter,Suzanna graduates from Utah State this weekend, then Ralph, Suzanna, Roberta and Carma will return to their home. Chad will stay the summer with his grandparents. Spending Friday andSaturday at the home of DeVon and Louise Wilde was her niece, Ann Swasey of Wallsburg. Anns brother Mike came also, but he stayed in Oakley with Clint. Saturday, Anns parents, Max and La Dean came to get them and they had dinner with DeVon and Louise. Visiting with Larry and Therma Turner on Sunday was his sister, Connie Roush and husband Jay and family of Salt Lake. They spent the afternoon fishing. Darrell and Kent Thomas went fishing with their grandfather, Bert Johnson Saturday. Bobbie went also, and they went to White Creek. Mont and Bonnie Angell and Phil and Carol Ann Thomas went to the horse races in South Jordan on Sunday. LaVerl and Alene Bushell and daughter Julie attended the Johnny Cash show at the Salt Palace last week. The Waldon Lambert family presented the program in Sacrament meeting Sunday after. in town visiting with friends and relatives. Elmo and Irene Hoyt were happy to have their children and grandchildren visit them over the weekend. Leslie Lewis, son of George and Phyllis is still quite stiff and sore after being Involved in an accident on his motorcycle Thursday. He was taken to the hospital for tests and and later released so he could attend his high school graduation. Buck and Sal Richards and Billie and Marlon Richards and family spent Sunday at Strawberry fishing. Jim and Connie (Richards) Sdter and daughter Teresa left Friday for a week in California visit Disneywhere they-w-ill land. Darrin Osmond, son of Vem and Linda celebrated his third birthday onSaturday.Fiveofhls little friends Joined in the fun. They were Blake McNeil, John Hoyt, Jason Willard and Bart and Eric Anderson, and their mothers. There were games, surprises, cake and ice cream. Visiting Vern and Linda over the weekend were her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Houskeeper, and Vera's brother Rulon and his wife and daughter of Idaho Falls. They all spent Monday in Salt Lake at the zoo. i.iman McNeil has had her three daughters, Neva, Amy and Erma and their families visit ys Sunday and Monday. Also visiting her on Monday was two nephews and their families from Roosevelt and Denwith her ver. Monday dinner guests of Bud and Netti Pitt were her sisters, Rupert and Etta Mar McQulre and family of Bountiful, and Theron and Alene Holmes and family of LehL Also Bud and Nettis daughters, Barbara Sargent and family and Linda Van Tassell and family of Morgan. A lovely buffet dinner was served and they had a very enjoyable time together. Max and Card Ann McCormick and three girls of Salt Lake were in town Saturday visiting with his family. Dale and Dorothy Rldlnghave been visiting with her mother, Clara Williams. Visiting with Roy Lambert this past week is his daughter Corrlne Howard and children, Corla and Anita of California. Anita Just graduated from the BYU. Deanna Deorgl spent a few days in the Coalville hospital. We wish her a speedy recovery. Emery and Brenda George and family of New Mexico visited with her parents, the Dean Blacks over the weekend. Emery went back home and Brenda and children will stay tor a few days. Mike and Marsha Hickman spent the weekend in Milford visiting with her father, George Smith. Grant and Marge Lemon of Idaho were in town over the weekend visiting with family and friends. . l S He was married to Edith Matilda Youngberg on Aug. 29, 1933, in West Point, Utah. The marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on Feb. 15, 1934. He had been a plumber and had lived in Ogden until 1940 when he moved to Los Angeles. He was a member of the LDS Church and a high priest. Surviving are his widow of Los Angeles; two sons, Wayne Leslie Bates, Kaysville; Dean Allen Bates, Los Angeles; five grandchildren, one brother and two sisters, Lewis Bates, Morgan; Mrs. Ethel White, Ogden; Mrs. Lila He slop, Brigham City. Funeral services were held Wednesday in the Kaysville 12th Ward Chapel, 2nd West and Center Street. Interment in the Ogden City Cemetery, directed by Lindquists Kaysville Mortuary. Member, Price Wilde. She was married to James Clifton Clark on Sept. 25, 1939, in Salt Lake City. The marriage was later solemnized intlwSalt Lake LDS Temple. Mr. Clark died May 23, 1953. She was married to William Alton Ball cm Sept. 26, 1955, inSaltLakeCity. They were divorced. She was a member of the Coalville Ladies Victory Club and had been active in the Coalville LDS Ward as a teacher in all ward organizations. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Monte D. (Linda) Wolfer, Mrs. Douglas $usan) Crittenden, both of Salt Lake City; four grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Genevieve Jenkins, Plain City; Mrs. Ellis (Vera) Fox, Green River, Wyo. Funeral services were held Wednesday in the Henefer LDS Ward Chapel with Bishop Glen Brown of the Coalville Ward officiating. Burial was in the Coalville City Cemetery. Mrs. Reva Wilde Clark, 51, of Coalville, died Saturday evening in an Ogden Nursing home. Clark Dies May 27, Funeral Rites June Mr. and Mrs. Larry Franson and two children, Barry and Michelle of Centerville were weekend visitors at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Lamb. Mrs. Franson (Kay) and children stayed over until Wednesday to attend the funeral services of Reva Clark. Also visiting with the Lambs over the Memorial Day weekend were Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Lamb and family; Sherri Clark and Connie from Taylorsville. A girlfriend, Dixie Forsythe was also a visitor. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Lamb drove to Salt Lake Friday night to attend the wedding reception of Ralene Gale, daughter ofMr. and Mrs. Arthur Gale. The family drove to Morgan there for Memorial Day-w- hile they visited with Mr. Garland Heiner and Mrs. Dot Anderson from Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Dee Vernon were hosts to a family dinner at their home in Hoytsville. There were thirty members of the Geary family present. Park Funeral services tor Earle William Reseigh, 67, former Park City mayor were held June 1 in the Park City Community Church, Mr. Reseigh died Thursday, May 27 in a Salt Lake hospitii after a long illness. He taught art in Wells, Nevada tor three years before movingto Kamas, where he has been working with Glen, while attending school. Jerry and Sandy have two children Terral, age 4 and Trent, age 8 months. John went to school with Dr. Kumagai. They traveled through parts of Tennessee, Kentucky, Illinois, and Minnesota, and on to Northern Iowa where they spent some time with Larry and Lilas daughter and Roland and Pam Schubert and four children. Bonnie Ryan flew to Denver, Colorado to visit Gary who is still in the hospital there. Howard Malr and Harold Butler spent Saturday at Strawberry fishing. They didnt have much luck. Then Sunday and Monday, Howard and son Butch and Howards brother Jerry went back out to try their luck again. Leslie Anthony Bates, 64, of Los Angeles, formerly of Ogden, was dead on arrival May 29 of a heart attack at the Utah Valley Hospital in Provo.
